Join the MCVP Team in the Role of Family Violence Prevention Specialist
We are still actively searching for a caring and passionate individual to step into our Family Violence Prevention Specialist (FVPS) role.
The FVPS works directly with families and children experiencing a co-occurrence of domestic violence and child abuse and/or neglect. You will work directly with the Department of Children, Youth and Families and will promote a trauma-informed approached to working with and supporting families. This person will also work with the Education Team to provide training related to trauma and its affects on children. You will also provide support to clients seeking support either in-person or over the phone, at child advocacy centers, in court, hospitals and police stations.
If you are passionate about ending interpersonal violence in your community, consider applying. The position is full-time and comes with medical and dental coverage. Experience in the areas of trauma, child development and human services is preferred. Starting salary is $35,000.
