Emergency Shelter for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence

MCVP: Crisis & Prevention provides survivors of domestic and sexual violence emergency shelter at confidential locations. Facilities include a four bedroom handicap accessible shelter with common play areas and nursery space to accommodate families with urgent needs for safe housing.

The Shelter Advocate works one-on-one with shelter guests:

Shelter Assessments
Safety Planning
General Needs Assistance (food, transportation arrangements and more)

MCVP’s Housing First Advocate supports shelter guests through the process of finding permanent, safe housing throughout Cheshire and Western Hillsborough Counties. If you live within Cheshire and Western Hillsborough Counties and you find that our shelter is full, we can work with you in finding alternative housing solutions, which may include working with other crisis centers within New England.

If you are living outside of Cheshire and Western Hillsborough Counties, we recommend connecting with your local crisis center to assist with emergency shelter services.
