Help MCVP Celebrate Survivors This Holiday Season
Join us in making the holiday season special for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, stalking and human sex-trafficking. Every year, our community comes together in a big way for survivors. Let’s make the holidays warm and bright for everyone.
How the program works:
Our advocates reach out to families and individuals affected by interpersonal power-based violence. These survivors will make a wish list and you will be sent the list of an individual, family, or a combination if you choose to take on more than one list. You can then go out and shop for the items and deliver them to MCVP. Due to COVID-19, you will need to schedule a time to drop off the gifts. Gifts should stay unwrapped (this will help us figure out what has been given).
Everything remains anonymous, so the survivors’ identities remain safe.
Gifts should be received no later than Friday, December 11th. This will give our advocates time to coordinate a COVID friendly gift pick up time with the survivors.
If you’re not sure you can adopt an entire list, you can also donate gifts of cash, gift cards online donations and wrapping supplies.
To adopt a wish list, please contact Megan Fulton, Development Director at: development@mcvprevention.org.
The survivors in this program would likely not have the means to provide a holiday for themselves or their loved ones, so we thank you in advance. This has really become a community effort. Last year we were able to support 96 survivors and children with holiday gifts, including a free holiday meal from the Community Kitchen, which will continue this year.
