MCVP is searching for our next Housing First Advocate and Marketing & Development Americorps VISTA
We are actively searching for a caring and passionate individual to step into our Housing First Advocate role.
The Housing First Advocate works directly with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. You will assist those individuals in finding and/or obtaining safe, affordable, permanent housing. MCVP follows a national housing first model that focuses on survivor-driven advocacy, housing stability, community engagement, and flexible financial assistance. In addition, you will build relationships with area housing services and landlords. You will also provide office and crisis line advocacy regularly — this includes court and hospital advocacy, police station support, safety planning, crisis counseling, and providing information and referrals. Ideally, you will have a background in human services and trauma-informed work.
The starting salary is $35,300 and comes with an excellent benefits package, including health & dental. A Bachelor’s degree and background check are required.

We are also searching for a Marketing & Development Americorps VISTA to join our team!
The VISTA will work directly with the Development Director to develop a donor stewardship plan, grow MCVP’s online presence and community outreach, and develop a data metric toolkit for advocates. You will work on events, newsletters, social media posts, press releases, data entry, standard operating procedures, and more! The VISTA will help set a foundation for MCVP to grow within the community. Serving as a VISTA is a great way to build experience after college or if you’re looking to make a career change. Some experience in fundraising, development, event planning, and/or social media marketing is preferred.
